The winner of the global competition will take home US$10,000 and a two year contract to travel the globe as Global Angostura Brand Ambassador.

Bartenders who want a chance at winning the prize and taking over from the current global winner, Australian Mike Tomasic, should enter through the island2island Facebook page.

To enter bartenders need to create and upload an image of a cocktail containing:

At least 30ml of any Angostura Rum

At least 5 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters

No more than 6 ingredients

No homemade ingredients

Use island2island portfolio products where appropriate.

Regional heats will be held throughout July and August, with the national final taking place on 31 August in Sydney.

Island2island is hoping that Australia will be able to successfully defend the title won by Tomasic last year. CEO Allan Shearer said: "Australia has some of the most talented bartenders in the world. We are now the country to beat at the finals in Trinidad."
