If there is one thing that you can guarantee when a ‘Hallmark holiday’ comes around it’s that Fireball will look at ways to put their own fiery spin on it.

Last year we saw socks banished on Father’s Day and a truly unique Halloween event in conjunction with Brown Cardigan. And so it’s no surprise to see the cinnamon whisky take on the traditional Valentine’s Day gifting.

This year the brand hosted a social media competition aimed at giving people the chance to win one of 30 love heart box sets containing 10x50ml Fireball bottles.

“Here at Fireball HQ, we’re waging a War Against Boring Gifts,” says Jon Prew, Fireball’s Chief Enforcer. “Get ready for the Fireball Whisky Valentine’s Day Emergency Love-Heart Box-Set of 10x50ml Cinnamon-Spiced Fiery Goodness. Yeah, yeah it’s a bit of a mouthful, but we honestly didn’t know what else to call it.

“Think of this as the gift you give yourself but get to pretend you’re giving it to someone else. A bit like when Homer bought Marge a bowling ball for her birthday. Kinda romantic, but actually really practical and waaay more fun.”

With Fireball currently growing 10 times faster than total Bourbon, it is no surprise that the competition proved hugely popular. Entrants were asked to tag the lady, man or mates they were most likely to share the Fireball love heart with and describe the relationship in emoji form.

The competition reached nearly 200,000 people with well over 3000 engagements and over 1000 entrants and 30 very happy winners who will be enjoying a fiery Valentine’s Day.
