Members of all sides of the liquor business will have the opportunity to learn more about all things beer at the inaugural Beer & Brewer Expo in Melbourne from tomorrow (Mar 18).
With hundreds of brewing identities and specialists gathering in the Victorian capital this week for the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA), the expo aims to generate further education around the brewing sector.
Held at Melbourne Showgrounds, the trade-only component will run from tomorrow to Friday (Mar 20) from 10:000am to 4:00pm, with the weekend (Mar 21 – 22) exhibition then open to the public.
The expo will provide a platform at which exhibitors can network with both current and potential customers, also demonstrating new products and services.
Trade forums will tackle the issues of building beer lists, how to approach beer buyers in both the on- and off-premise, as well as discussions on the various industry challenges around the world.
The event will also include beer and food matching sessions with Paul Mercurio, home brewing presentation areas, beer tasting master classes and the opportunity to sample from a selection of more than 100 local and imported beers.
Trade admission is free.
