Top flair bartenders from around Australia and New Zealand once again gathered at the Paddington Arms Hotel in Sydney last week for the second round of the Australian Bar Pro Flair Challenge.

Round one saw each of the 12 competing bartenders create two Stolichnaya Vodka based cocktails, while showing off their flair skills, in the five minutes they were each allocated.

Four finalists were then chosen out of the 12 who moved on to the second round, where they had to produce two more cocktails while displaying their best working and exhibition flair tricks.

Once again, Melbourne bartender, Dennis Gray took out first place, with Ravi Camadoo and Ricardo Milhouse, both from Sydney, coming second and third respectfully.

“Andrew Lee and myself were stoked with the turn out and the support from the hospitality industry,” organiser Robbie Stowe said.

“We would especially like to thank all the competitors, all the people who came down to watch and our sponsors; Stolichnaya Vodka, Redbull, Monin Syrups, and Finest Call cocktail mixers, not to mention our supporters, WFA, Bar Pro, ABG and our host the Paddington Arms Hotel.”

A final Australian Bar Pro competition will be held in June to determine who will be heading off to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam to represent Australia in the Australasian Championships.
