Publicans will have the opportunity to boost business through their food operations when a new campaign from three of Australia’s major foodservice players kicks off next month.
Called ‘Recipe for Success’, the campaign will see Unilever Foodsolutions, Fonterra Foodservices and Simplot Foodservices join forces to offer hospitality operators the tools, skills and incentives to build to combat the current tough economic climate.
Recipe for Success will incorporate an awards program, newsletters, benchmarking study and other resources, both empowering and encouraging businesses to become more efficient, innovative and skilled in financial management.
Operators are encouraged to participate in the free confidential benchmarking study, which will review each venue’s sales, growth, capacity, patronage and business costs – ultimately revealing where they rank in comparison to their counterparts.
Recipe for Success is open to the first 2000 businesses to enter the program, with an emphasis on the four key channels – pubs, clubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as accommodation hotels.
Participating venues will be eligible to attend an industry seminar at the Fine Foods tradeshow in September in Sydney, where business consultant David Campbell will deliver the results of the benchmarking study.
The highest ranking venues in each of the four channels will win a trip to Sydney for the event where they will be acknowledged as the Channel Champions and awarded with a personal interview and analysis of their business with Campbell.
The program will also involve a number of other industry incentives.
