One of the pubs owned by Sydney's Drink n' Dine pub group is increasing its focus on live music.

The Drink n' Dine group acquired Surry Hills venue The Forresters in early 2012 and after testing the waters with a live music battle-style format have evolved it into a regular offering.

"The battles were a huge success, with punters digging the intimate vibe," The Forresters manager Locky Paech told TheShout.

"We got some sponsors on board this time around, allowing us go get good quality bands from the local and national scene."

This Tuesday upcoming 'funk and heavy soul' band Gang of Brothers will be launching its first official track in The Forresters band room, in an intimate gathering for industry and media.

Tickets are limited and must be requested through Caroline Neill Ryan of CNR Communications.
