The Foster’s Group has appointed Mark Fleming to the role of chief financial officer (CFO), Treasury Wine Estates. 

He is expected to commence the role at or around the effective date of the proposed demerger in May. 

Fleming joined Woolworths Limited in 2003, firstly as general manager business planning and corporate finance and is currently general manager finance, supermarkets.

Prior to joining Woolworths he worked in investment banking with UBS, Goldman Sachs and Bankers Trust.

He commenced his career as a commercial lawyer with Clayton Utz.

Fleming is a member of CPA Australia and holds degrees in Economics and Law.

As previously reported and subject to the relevant shareholder, Court and ASX approvals, it is expected that the demerger of the Treasury Wine Estates business from Foster’s and its subsequent ASX listing will be completed in May 2011.
