The Foster’s Group is looking to fill a number of key roles in a newly created national Carlton & United Breweries (CUB) team that will bridge the gap between sales, marketing and customer relations.

The broad-based restructuring will empower the regions at the expense of head office with CUB MD, John Pollaers, giving a clear indication he wishes to give more control to State GMs.

Pollaers started in the role on April 7.

A spokesperson for the Foster’s Group told TheShout that the brewer would be looking externally to fill key positions in the re-established customer marketing team which will form “a bridge between sales, marketing and our customers to drive all marketing promotional activity from strategy through to implementation”.

Amongst the positions CUB is looking to fill are: national planning and activation manager, category development manager, brands activity manager, activation managers and customer activity managers.

The national planning and activation manager will lead the newly created national team while the category development manager will drive the CUB category shopper strategy.
