Following the success of its Bloody Shiraz Gin, Four Pillars will release a limited-edition Bloody Pinot Noir Gin on World Gin Day, 10 June.

“We haven’t been this excited since well, the launch of Bloody Shiraz Gin. What started as a crazy experiment steeping a parcel of grapes in the OG Rare Dry Gin in 2015, has taken a new form with another grape varietal. And now, we have a new, very limited experiment that is Bloody Pinot Noir Gin,” a Four Pillars spokesperson said.

The Bloody Pinot Noir Gin is lighter and paler than its Shiraz sister, with aromas of rose petals, strawberries and cherries.

Four Pillars will also release a limited edition 2023 Bloody Shiraz Gin, with a new label designed by illustrator Luke Lucas.

Additionally, Four Pillars is debuting the Bloody Midwinter Gin Fest, an eight week celebration centred around the Bloody Shiraz Gin. Running from 1 June to 30 July 2023, the festival will consist of 15 events held across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Four Pillars’ home of Healesville. The Healesville distillery and Sydney Gin Lab will hold weekend-long celebrations for World Gin Day, and each city will have its own gin feast.

The Brisbane feast will be hosted by the Stratton, which will also see a month-long Bloody Shiraz Gin takeover of its drinks menu. In Sydney, the feast will be a collaboration with North Bondi Fish, and Golden Century BBQ will take over the Sydney Lab. The Melbourne feast will be hosted by Yakimono, and Four Pillars will make a showing at the Healesville Fireside Festival, sharing the secrets behind mixing hot cocktails.
