Ubifrance, the French Trade Commission has invited wine and spirits importers to attend a tasting of products from 14 different French producers in Sydney on Wednesday April 2.

A total of 14 French producers from regions including Champagne, Burgundy, Rhone, Languedoc and Cognac are travelling to Australia to present and talk about their products, most of which are being showcased here for the first time ever.

"I am very pleased to welcome a French delegation of wine and spirit producers in April," said Bruno Tessier, French Trade Commissioner.

"All of them are convinced that the Australian market could represent a real potential.

"This will be a great opportunity for you to explore the tastes of unique releases from France’s most renowned regions. Meet and share your experiences and expectations with the producers while tasting wine & spirits from the French terroirs."

The event will take place at Altitude Restaurant, 36th floor, Hotel Shangri-La, 176 Cumberland Street, The Rocks, with wine and spirit tasting between 12.30pm and 4.30pm.
