Gage Roads, the brewer part-owned by supermarket Woolworths, has revealed it will launch a range of its own products in 640ml large bottles following a recent upgrade of its packaging line.

The WA-based brewer said it had successfully launched the 640ml format range starting with Woolworths' Dry Dock brand.

"This comes after the successful commissioning of modifications to the packaging line and will enable the company to offer a broader product portfolio to its contract brewing and packaging customers," it said.

Gage Roads said its own products such as 'London's Best', 'Sleeping Giant IPA' and 'Atomic Pale Ale' were being readied for introduction in the new format.

The brewer said its sales during the third quarter were up 59 per cent on the same period last year.

"This was principally due to the company's ongoing support of Woolworths' private label strategy with sales of their products up 43 per cent," it said.

Gage Roads said the company's new brewhouse is expected to arrive in June/July this year.
