Sydney's Gallagher Hotels has added a 13th pub to its portfolio with the acquisition of Royal Hotel in Ryde.

The hotel will now be owned and managed by husband and wife team, Patrick and Angela Gallagher alongside their other venues, which include seven PJ Gallagher’s Irish Pubs, Belgian Beer Café Heritage, French-inspired bistros Le Pub CBD, Le Pub Balmain and The Union Hotel North Sydney, and the iconic Sydney venue, Jacksons on George.

“We’re excited to be opening a traditional suburban hotel in the growing north-west region,” said Gallagher.

“The area is a booming residential and commercial hub and we’re looking forward to introducing local clientele to the friendly and welcoming hospitality that Gallagher pubs are known for.”

Renowned for their award-winning food and authentic fit-outs, Gallagher Hotels has already introduced a new menu to the venue including Gallagher classics such as the Steak and Guinness Pie and PJ’s Signature Lamb Shanks, as well as regular pub favourites.

The venue will undergo a refurbishment starting in early 2015.
