Mana Bar in Brisbane is set to host the inaugural “Boxing Glove Bartending” competition, one of the more unusual events sponsored by the “42Below Cocktail World Cup” this month in Brisbane.

The event will consist of a number of cocktail making competitions with bartenders being judged on speed, precision and taste using 42Below vodka whilst wearing 16 pound boxing gloves.

Competitors are asked to prepare five rounds of drinks which include 3 signature 42Below cocktails, a vodka lime and soda and Caiprioska as they compete for a number of prizes.

The 7th annual 42 Below Cocktail World Cup will be launched on March 14 in Queenstown, New Zealand, culminating on March 18 with a grand final.

Boxing Glove Bartending will be held on Monday 21 February at Brisbane’s Mana Bar, for further details and how to enter please email shay@manabar.com.au or sean.forsyth@bacardilion.com.
