UK celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will headline the Sydney Good Food and Wine Show, which opens today.

From 20-22 June, the Sydney Exhibition Centre will be transformed into a food and wine lovers paradise with over 300 exhibitors and demonstrations including eight live sessions with Ramsay.

“One of the UK’s major television talents, Gordon is world renowned for his passion and flare for food,” said exhibition director, James Lang.

Such is Ramsay’s popularity that all allocated pre-booked tickets to his sessions sold-out almost instantly, although some tickets will be available for purchase on the day.

This year’s show features several new highlights, including the Beverage Bar, which will host workshops covering everything from coffee to cocktails and the Lindemans Early Harvest Restaurant, which will serve dishes prepared by expert chefs and matched to wines from the Lindemans Early Harvest range.

Wine highlights include the ‘Barossa Classics’ and ‘Brilliant Bubbles’ sessions in the Wine Theatre, while beer lovers will appreciate the many tastings on offer from regional breweries like Murray’s Brewing Co.

For the spirit fanatic, Brown Forman is again hosting a series of Master Classes for their range of whiskey, tequila and liqueurs. The 10-minute sessions will include tastings, brand education and cocktail making.
