Grant Burge Wines has signed on as major wine sponsor of Adelaide Cabaret Festival, and has put together a special collection of 12 wines from its portfolio in tribute to some of the festival's leading acts.

"We thought this was a fun and tongue-in-cheek way to match some of the unique and exciting entertainment on offer at the Cabaret Festival with some of our favourite wines," Grant Burge said.

The Barossa Valley winery has also created a 14-litre barrel filled with its award-winning Tawny and signed exclusively by leading Cabaret Festival artists including Kate Ceberano, Catherine Alcorn and Eddie Perfect, along with Grant and Helen Burge.

Festival patrons who visit the Grant Burge Wine Bar at the festival can enter the draw to win the fortified barrel by joining the Grant Burge Wines mailing list during the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, which runs until June 22.

"Cabaret is a passion of ours and we take great delight in hosting the Cabaret's stars in the Barossa during the Festival. So we were thrilled that they were happy to lend their signatures to our idea of a collectable gem," said Helen Burge.

"We’re sure somebody will be seriously impressed at the thought of having that very special barrel of Tawny sitting on their home bar somewhere."

A tasting bar featuring the Cabaret Collection mix of sparkling, red and white wines will also be featured at the Adelaide Festival Centre on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, with the Cabaret Collection available for order at the special price $250.
