Carlton and United Breweries has used a Queensland backdrop for its new Great Northern Super Crisp advertising campaign.

The 'Beer from Up Here' campaign was filmed in a variety of locations in the Sunshine state, including Davies Creek Falls in Mareeba, Barron River at Big Sands, Upper and Lower Mossman Gorge at Mossman and the Daintree River Mouth, Port Douglas.

CUB’s marketing director Richard Oppy said: "We love the scenery and the shots are just beautiful; it’s the perfect way to let more people know about the ‘beer from up here’ and what it’s all about.

"The images also reflect the great northern lifestyle so well; something this brand has always done in advertising and promotions.

"It’s great to be able to share this commercial and tell even more people about Great Northern Super Crisp right across Australia."

Great Northern Original launched five years ago, with the Great Northern Super Crisp launching nationally in early 2015. Super Crisp was named as the winner of the New Product of the Year award at the 2015 ALIAs.

  1. An impossible ad as the weight of the full stubbies will sink already tried it they aink to bottom of creek and stau there.so who is scamming who.

  2. The impossible comment just demonstrates how irresponsible this add is. Some lunatic trying to emulate it not thinking of the damage/danger to potential to users of the stream. The irresponsibility started with the original marketing gurus who made the add get the idea pull the add.
