Innovation keeps coming to the hard seltzer category, with Gold Coast brand Hard Fizz set to launch what it claims is the world’s first hard seltzer containing natural caffeine.

Launching Boxing Day, the seltzer features green coffee bean extract with a strawberry and grape flavour and continues a busy period for Hard Fizz, after it recently opened its own brewery on the Gold Coast.

Hard Fizz CEO Wade Tiller said: “We are absolutely rapt to release FIZZ X, it’s been a long time coming.

“This is 100 per cent in response to market demands.

“Younger consumers were crying out for a seltzer that tasted like a party but was still 99 per cent sugar free.

“We like to think of FIZZ X as bringing the moment

“FIZZ might be easy on tomorrow but a hit of natural caffeine never hurts.”

Tiller added: “It’s been an incredible couple of weeks.

“What we wanted to do was bring some energy and good times to the Gold Coast and I definitely think we’ve done that.

“We’ve got a lot coming up in 2022 and we can’t wait to share that with everyone.”

From Boxing Day Hard Fizz will be ranged in more than 150 stores and that is expected to double by the end of January. Despite only being around for 12 months, Hard Fizz is already one of the top five seltzers in Australia, based on retail sales.
