Marrickville-based Hawke’s Brewing Co will take up a month-long residency in the CTA Business Club in Sydney’s Martin Place.

A retro-themed bar named ‘The Weary Traveller’, found in the basement of the famous Harry Seidler designed ‘mushroom-building’, will play host the Hawke’s residency, alongside a schedule of 16 nights of live music between 5 – 29 January.

The Hawke’s core range – Lager, Patio Pale and Underdog Session Lager – will all be on show, while the limited ‘Hawke’s Sydney Sour’ will also be pouring.

For Rachel Southwood, Hawke’s Heading of Marketing, expressed her delight at being named the official beer of the festival.

“We’re incredibly excited to be the official and exclusive beer of this year’s Sydney Festival – from bringing our range of delicious beers to festival goers across the city, to offering a taste of The Bob Hawke Beer & Leisure Centre to guests at the Weary Traveller Bar inside the iconic CTA,” Southwood said.

“We hope everyone who attends has ‘One of the Country’, while supporting and celebrating some of the finest arts and culture programming this city has to offer.”
