Victoria's Holgate Brewhouse has quadrupled its production capacity and has appointed a new dedicated sales representative for the Queensland market.

Holgate business development manager Julian Nelson told TheShout that the addition of several new maturation and packaging tanks at the brewer's Woodend production facility has lifted its capacity to 30 hectolitres.

He said the economies of scale have enabled Holgate to offer its seasonal brews at the more competitive price point of $20 to $22 in a new 500ml bottle format.

As part of the inaugural release of its new packaging, Holgate launched several one-off brews at once, including the Road Trip American IPA, Brick Kiln Dunkel Weizen, Nut Brown Ale and Empress Imperial Mocha Porter (pictured).

"The Road Trip will be available all year round, but the others will only be available for a short time till next annual release. Production runs are limited, so get in soon for your stock," Nelson said.

Holgate has also appointed craft beer enthusiast Dan Rawlings, most recently of Rekorderlig, as the brewer's sales representative for Queensland.

Nelson will continue to handle sales in Victoria and NSW.
