The creator of the first ever Australian-designed wine glassware now has its products in use at 450 restaurants nationally, and has launched a new range of glassware for bars.

Melbourne-based Plumm initially launched with five varietal-specific glasses, which the designer says are all that is required to cover the full range of wine styles.

Plumm developed two shapes for reds (heavy bodied to medium/light bodied reds), two shapes for whites (light, crisp whites to oaked medium white whites) and a flute.

The designer has recently made its first departure away from wine accessories, creating three new glasses for bar use: the martini, the highball, and a lowball tumbler.

Plumm has also launched two handmade crystal decanters and a new red or white 'mini' wine glass specially developed to cater for venues with limited racking space.

"The new bar range is launched to provide our customers with the complete solution with Plumm being a 'one stop shop' for all our customers' drink solutions," said spokeswoman Melissa Italiano.

"We've had great feedback with the new range being stylish, functional, premium and affordable."
