Fox Sports and Foxtel will now deliver the horse racing channel Thoroughbred Vision Network (TVN) to their venues customers at no extra charge.

Former broadcaster Sky Racing have ceased transmission of TVN’s NSW and VIC Thoroughbred Racing as their license agreement has recently expired. Sky and TVN are continuing negotiations to reach a new agreement.

Fox Sports and Foxtel have agreed with TVN to provide its service to all venue customers at no additional charge. TVN is now being added to all customer accounts and will be available with no change to subscription rates on channel 522 from 9am Friday 19 December until 31 January 2015.

Fox Sports head of commercial Ben Campbell said the subscription television providers understand the value TVN provides venues.

“We will continue to support our Venues partners by delivering services that help drive footfall and revenue to their business,” he said. “It’s always our priority to ensure our loyal venues get the best content at all times to both attract and retain customers, especially with the important race meetings tomorrow at Flemington and Rosehill.”
