Hungerford Hill has entered into a partnership with the Sydney Opera House that will see the venue’s iconic sails appear on the winemaker’s upcoming Chardonnay.

Hungerford Hill CEO, James Kirby, said the association matched the label’s ‘Wine Sydney Style’ philosophy.

“We think that having the magic of the Sydney Opera House on the label will intrigue overseas customers and also bring more recognition to the premium NSW wine growing regions from which we source, particularly the Hunter Valley and Tumbarumba,” Kirby said.

Sydney Opera House CEO, Richard Evans, said his organisation was delighted to collaborate with an unrelated brand, enjoying royalties with each bottle sold.

“We see our organisations as a great fit, sharing brand values of excellence and innovation, and representing Australia on a world stage,” Evans said.

The Hungerford Hill Higher Octave Chardonnay will be released at bars, restaurants, duty-free outlets across Sydney next month.
