The Independent Brewers Association (IBA) has kicked off its 2018 Industry Survey, the fourth year the association has undertaken this “important project”.

Australia’s independent brewers should have received links to the survey, which is once again being conducted by Survey Matters. All the data collected in the survey is confidential and protected by the Australian Privacy Principles of the Privacy Act 1988.

“The Industry Survey is one of our key projects for the year,” said the IBA’s acting CEO Chris McNamara. “Up-to-date, accurate data is not only important for the IBA to help achieve its mission but it is also vital for brewers and industry suppliers.”

“The results from last year’s survey were essential to us being able to produce the landmark National Economic Evaluation, the document which has enabled us to dramatically increase our advocacy efforts with all levels of government.”

“Respondents to last year’s survey also received a suite of data which was invaluable to them in terms of benchmarking and forward planning.”

As always the IBA’s goal is to increase the number of brewers who respond to the survey.

“This year, through the fantastic support from Cryer Malt, Kegstar and O-I Australia, we are running an awesome competition where one respondent will receive a prize of a trip to the Craft Brewers Conference in Nashville,” said McNamara.

Details of the survey and the competition are available on the IBA website.
