IGT has announced the national relaunch of Super Reel — a five-reel application housed in IGT’s proprietary Bluechip cabinet — following a 15-year absence in the market.

The gaming machine and cabinet manufacturer is planning a library of games for the Super Reel series. The first will include low denomination games, Wild Wolf and Triple Stars. Wild Wolf is a 25-line game modelled on Wolf Run that offers players five free games, while Triple Stars is a traditional US style game with a nine times multiplier. Triple Stars is currently one of the top performing five reel stepper games in the US.

“Super Reel offers venues the best of both worlds: our latest cabinet coupled with a mechanical reel assembly and handle mechanism,” said IGT general manager — product development and compliance, John Duffy,

“We’ve also added another screen so that players can easily see their bet levels and pay lines. The reels are backlit with flashing line indicators and players will be familiar with the standard button panel.”

IGT general manager — sales and marketing, Norris Goudy, added: “The Super Reel series will provide venues with a new way to entertain players.  There is a great deal of nostalgia associated with reel steppers and we’re confident that the games we have in store will engage players’ interest.”
