The 2024 Australian Distillers Association Conference took place in Brisbane last week, and while many distillers and their suppliers are finding things tough at the moment, there is optimism for the future.
If anything sums up just how far the Australian spirits category has come in the last few years it is the photo above, which shows conference attendees at the welcome drinks on Monday evening.
More than 500 distillers, suppliers, media and other key industry people attending the conference, where they engaged in a very productive and interactive trade show and heard from a wide variety of speakers and presenters, in the biggest and most comprehensive program the conference has ever seen in its 20-year history.
