J&J O’Brien Hoteliers Group (JJO) celebrated their 20th annual Suppliers Christmas Breakfast at Jordons Seafood Restaurant Darling Harbour last week (Dec 7).

JJO director, Judith Crawley, began hosting a Christmas breakfast each year to thank the suppliers of the company and now, 20 years on, the breakfast has become an institution among industry suppliers.

A raffle is held each year, with JJO matching dollar-for-dollar the donations, with all proceeds raised going to the Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick. This year, $980 was raised from guests, meaning $1960 will be donated to the charity.

Santa was MC for the morning and the crowd was entertained with a live performance from singer Monique Montez who performed at the 2009 Carols by Candlelight in Melbourne.

To mark the occasion and to thank long term suppliers, Crawley presented over 12 certificates of appreciation to industry legends such as Chuck Hahn (Malt Shovel Brewer) and Doug May (Lion Nathan) who have been working with JJO for the past 20 years.

JJO has been established for more than 25 years and includes Blue Diamond Charters, The Belvedere Hotel, Cohibar, Jacksons on George, Jordons Seafood Restaurant, Marlborough Hotel and The Watershed Hotel.
