Westend's 3 Bridges Botrytis Semillon has recently won two trophies on the international wine show circuit;
- Shanghai International Wine Challenge – Trophy: BEST SWEET WINE
- Decanter World Wine Awards – Trophy: Regional sweet Australian Wine
Family owned Australian winery; Westend Estate Wines, recently took home the Trophy for “Regional Sweet Australian Wine” at the international Decanter World Wine Awards” for their 2010 3 Bridges Botrytis Semillon. Last month, Westend’s Botrytis also won a trophy for “Best Sweet Wine” at the Shanghai International Wine Competition, making this a very successful dessert wine on the International wine show circuit.
Winemaker Bill Calabria was overwhelmed with the results; “The Riverina has long been the leader for Australian dessert wines and Westend are proud to continue the tradition, especially on the International wine show circuit. It is so important as we are able to gauge where our family wines sit on a world stage, to be awarded a trophy at any wine show is a great success but to win at an international wine show is truly rewarding for the family, the winemakers and the staff at Westend”
