IRI, the leading analytics and business intelligence solutions company, is looking to meet a growing demand and expand its Liquor and Convenience team with a new Channel Manager.

IRI currently works with the Australian Liquor Stores Association (ALSA) on the annual State of the Industry Report and is also the leading provider of sales and trends data for the Australian liquor industry.

David Shukri, IRI’s Channel Development Director, told TheShout that the new Channel Manager will have the opportunity to shape IRI’s perspective in both the liquor and convenience sectors.

“The team is growing and consequently we’re looking for a Channel Manager to maintain, develop and evolve IRI’s perspective on the liquor and convenience channels. They’ll play a crucial role in conveying to stakeholders that IRI has a comprehensive grasp of the shape and structure of these channels, their evolution and the trends that are affecting them,” Shukri said.

“IRI’s Channel Development team acts as the custodian of its perspective on the grocery, liquor and P&C channels. Our governance of market reads and insights on those channels helps maintain IRI’s market leading position and demonstrates our credibility as a market measurement expert to clients, partners and the wider industry.”

Shukri also told TheShout that the ideal candidate will be data-savvy, customer focused and a strong, engaging communicator.

“Above all however”, he said, “they’ll be motivated and ambitious, love to get stuck in and relish turning obstacles in to opportunities.”

The role will be based in IRI’s head office in Rhodes, and full details of the role can be found here: IRI Channel Manager job description, and applications for the role can be made to David Shukri.
