One of Manly’s best-loved hotels is celebrating a year since its big re-launch with a suave Italian-centric activation inspired by Peroni.

The major renovation last year transformed the local pub and gave it new direction, ushering in a Hamptons-inspired coastal beach vibe décor by leading hotel industry designer Paul Kelly, with a strong emphasis on food, quality and fresh produce.

The Ivanhoe’s general manager Doug Brooker told TheShout the team determined that the boutique beer perfectly suited their plans for the anniversary.

"We thought the Peroni brand was a great fit to help us celebrate our 1st birthday since re-opening following our major refurbishment,” said Brooker.

“The sophisticated, nautical Peroni vibe complements The Ivanhoe’s chic, coastal fit-out perfectly. It was a no-brainer.

“Our kitchen team and Peroni’s Ambassador ensured the Italian vibe flowed through into the menu too, by creating food matches with an Italian twist. We’re excited to bring something new to the people of Manly."

Peroni general manager Craig Maclean suggests the brand is similarly buoyant over the integration with the beach-side locals.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Peroni experience to the Northern Beaches community and hope the locals enjoy a taste of the Italian style that is the essence of Peroni.

“We see The Ivanhoe as a natural fit for Peroni, an iconic Manly venue with a strong emphasis on quality offerings and exceptional service.”

The subtle Italian theming will also flow through the menu with the addition of Italian-inspired specials that were created to pair perfectly with Peroni and will change fortnightly.

Other themed activities include Peroni Pints for a schooner price, ten per cent off pizzas when a Peroni is purchased at the bar, and Peroni Shouts by the Peroni Ambassador during scheduled visits.
