Jack Daniel’s is releasing the extremely limited Sinatra Century to celebrate the great entertainer. A well-known lover of Jack Daniel’s – Sinatra was buried with a bottle – the Rat Pack legend would have turned 100 this year, so it was only appropriate that the brand celebrate with whiskey.
The rarest limited edition ever released by the Jack Daniel’s Distillery, the 100 proof (50% ABV) whiskey has been exclusively matured in 100 specially hand-crafted ‘Sinatra’ barrels.
Once fully charred, deep grooves are cut into the interior of the barrels to expose the whiskey to the toasted oak which lies beneath the char line. It is the unique combination of both charred and toasted oak that results in unprecedented bold flavours and smoothness. Every drop of the Sinatra Century has been hand selected by both Jack Daniel’s master distiller, Jeff Arnett, and the Sinatra family.
In further celebration of the late Sinatra, each bottle of the Sinatra Century will come with a unique and previously unreleased recording of Sinatra playing live at the Sands Hotel in 1996.
The Australian market is limited to an allocation of 900 bottles – priced at $1000 each – which will be available through Dan Murphy’s and premium independent retailers.
Frank Sinatra would have been 100 on 12 December 2015.
