Jack Daniel’s is kicking off 2013 with a unique consumer promotion that will see one Jack Daniel’s fan drive away in a one-of-a-kind fully restored 1930s Ford pick-up truck.

Consumers can enter the competition by purchasing a special promotional pack of Jack Daniel’s, which is available now nationwide.

The promotion closes on 28 February 2013, with the winner being announced in March 2013.

The truck took over 1100 man hours to restore during a three-month period, with the hard graft being performed by Luke Brand of Brand Speed Chop and Custom in Victoria. [continues below]

Valued at over $160,000, the pick-up’s frame was stripped down, with a new chassis fitted and cabin built, along with fresh panels, wiring and assembly.

The whole vehicle then had to be pulled apart again for paintwork before being re-assembled and made roadworthy.

“We’ve been carefully crafting every drop of Jack Daniel’s for over 140 years now and what better way to celebrate the summer than by bringing a little craft to such a classic vehicle,” said Brown-Forman marketing director, Sarah Nichols.

”Our friends at Brand Speed have taken over 1100 hours to restore this all-American classic truck and we’re sure Mr. Jack would be proud.”
