Jacob's Creek has marked it's 35th anniversary with the launch of a new wine range and the extension of its St Hugo label.

Launched to wine media last night (Sep 22) at Adelaide's Botanical Gardens, the Jacob's Creek Cool Harvest range, is a light-bodied, fruit-driven portfolio of wines that are lighter in alcohol.

The range includes a sparkling sauvignon blanc, pinot grigio, sauvignon blanc and a rose.

The wines sit at around 10 percent ABV and are aimed at the 28-plus female demographic.

"The Jacob's Creek Cool Harvest range is a new sub-range that is differentiated to our Classic range with a slightly lower alcohol content," said Jacob's Creek chief winemaker, Bernard Hickin.

"The range is a new concept for us as we look towards growing the segment of light and fresh wines."

In addition to Cool Harvest, Jacob's Creek is also set to introduce the assembled wine media a new range of its premium St Hugo label later today.

Winemaker, Bernard Hickin, will officially launch the range with an extensive tasting at the Jacob's Creek Visitor Centre in the Barossa Valley.
