Jacob’s Creek has released a new sparkling wine product, the Prosecco Spritz, in response to the rising trend of Prosecco and aperitivo style drinks in Australia.

Prosecco has become the sparkling grape of choice in Australia, seeing sales growth of 180 per cent over the past three years (IRI MAT 31/5/15). While aperitivo style drinks have also been taking off over the past 12 months.

The Jacob’s Creek Prosecco Spritz is ready-to-serve and made with zesty blood oranges, botanicals such as cinchona and liquorice root, and a twist of bitter sweet citrus notes.

Jacob’s Creek Sparkling Winemaker Trina Smith, said: “Our winemakers spent a lot of time perfecting the right mix of ingredients to best balance our Prosecco and zesty sweet blood oranges.

“All of our Prosecco is grown and sourced in Australia, and Jacob’s Creek Prosecco Spritz is an example of our love and passion for sparkling winemaking, combined with a progressive spirit to create something new and exciting for consumers.”

The Jacob’s Creek Prosecco Sprits is available in a 750ml bottle, it has an 8.5 per cent ABV and is available nationwide at RRP $19.99.
