James Squire Brewhouses are releasing a limited edition Red Ale this weekend.

Created at the Malt Shovel Brewery in Sydney's Camperdown, the James Squire Red Handed Ale is described as a "heart seasonal brew, ideal for the cooler months of the year."

Malt Shovel Head Brewer, Chris Sheehan said: "The team at Malt Shovel wanted to play with a traditional style we hadn’t tried before. Red Ales can be tricky to balance because you need to find the right malt sweetness and colour, plus we wanted to include a dry hop tweak. That said, we see it as a perfect autumn release."

The 5.2 per cent beer has a deep amber colour and was created with a late dry hopping of Citra and Cascade hops.

James Squire Red Handed Red Ale is now on tap for a limited time, available exclusively at the James Squire Brewhouses, including: The Squire’s Maiden, Newcastle, The Charming Squire, Brisbane, The Generous Squire, Perth, The Squire’s Fortune, Scarborough, The Curious Squire, Adelaide and The Portland Hotel, Melbourne.
