Jameson Irish Whiskey has screened the winners of its third annual short film competition, John Jameson Productions (JJP).

In a star-studded event last Wednesday (Nov 10) Jonathan Samiec, Kate Schmitt and Shannon Browning had their winning films screened at new Darlinghurst venue, Lo-Fi.

Between them, their films included some of Australia’s top actors, including Barry Otto, Gyton Grantley and Damon Gameau.

Funded by Jameson Irish Whiskey, the JJP competition is a unique initiative aimed at supporting up-and-coming scriptwriters.

The winners each receive $20,000 to have their short film created, with the help of leading film company, Chaotic Pictures.

The films will soon be available to view online.
