Jim Beam continued to leverage its association with motorsport at the weekend's Sydney Telstra 500, and has announced the renewal of its V8 Supercars sponsorship deals.

Friday December 2 saw practise for the V8s and other race classes, with actual racing taking place on the weekend of the 3rd and 4th.

The atmosphere had the charge of unburnt hydrocarbons as the Holden and Ford V8s tore up the street circuit at Homebush stadium over three days.

The famous Jim Beam Party Crew (pictured) was also in overdrive, charging up patrons that purchased a Beam product with a group pose and a Polaroid photo to help remember the day.

The Sydney event came just as the bourbon brand announced the renewal of its naming rights partnership with Dick Johnson Racing (DJR) for 2012, and confirmed its ongoing support as Official Spirit Sponsor of the V8 Supercars for the next three years.
