Following on from a successful 2021, which saw JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group be responsible for more than $1.62bn of hotel transactions, the company is expanding its national hotels team.

Christian Tsalikis has been appointed to the Queensland pubs team as Vice President, out of the Brisbane office. Tsalikis brings over 10 years of topline agency experience to JLL, with an impressive list of transactions across pubs, motels and caravan parks.

JLL Hotels Managing Director, John Musca, said: “Adding Christian’s extensive hotel brokerage experience to the JLL Hotels team is incredibly exciting and provides a further strategic advantage for our Queensland and national stakeholders.

“JLL Hotels enjoyed a record year in Queensland and nationally in 2021 and we look forward to having expanded capacity with Christian joining Mark Walsh and Tom Gleeson to expand the market-leading hospitality transaction team.”

Tsalikis added: “The weight of capital looking to enter the Queensland market across pubs, motels and caravan parks is immense. Combining the current momentum within the Queensland hospitality market with the extensive JLL platform greatly positions us to work with stakeholder investment mandates, and is something I am thrilled to be a part of moving forward.”

JLL said with Tsalikis being dialled into the wider Queensland market it has allowed him to deal with some the state and country’s most active parties including Endeavour Group, Australian Venue Co and Star Liquor Group.
