Australia’s leading consumer and trade beer publication is growing and we’re looking for an experienced media sales manager to spearhead its commercial success across print media, digital media and events.
Beer & Brewer, which is published by The Intermedia Group, has its finger on the pulse of all things beer and cider, with a particular focus on the burgeoning craft beer sector. It’s read by beer enthusiasts, home brewers and members of the beer industry.
As the Media Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling advertising and sponsorship to craft brewers, major beer companies and some spirits suppliers. You will be selling advertising and sponsorship across digital and print products as well as an exhibition from a well-established client base but new business development will play an important role.
You will play a fundamental role in maximising the commercial potential of the title, by growing its existing assets and developing new products, including events and supplements that tap into the nation’s growing interest in craft beer.
This is a hands-on selling role requiring outstanding customer relationship skills. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in sales and preferably but not essentially have experience working in the hospitality or drinks industries. Experience dealing with liquor companies would be an advantage.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic sales professional who wants to immerse themselves in the beer and hospitality industries.
You must be a self starter who is capable of executing your job with autonomy, and who is motivated by the opportunity to create a successful career in the media industry.
You will need to be able to pitch and present ideas in sales meetings and follow up with written proposals.
You must be able to service existing clients and hunt down new business.
You may be currently working as a sales rep in the liquor industry or have sale experience in a different industry.
In return for your efforts, you will be compensated with a competitive base salary plus superannuation, and access to an uncapped commission incentive scheme.
This position represents an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic publishing company in Australia, while working within a friendly and professional environment.
Some travel will be required, along with attending industry functions after hours.
To apply for this position, please send a cover letter referring to the above criteria, along with your CV, to Shane Williams via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
