Johnnie Walker Black Label will be rolled out in a limited-edition premium gift tin next month (August) in the lead up to Father’s Day on Sunday September 4.

Diageo Australia has 10,000 cases of gift-packed Johnnie Walker Black Label available for retailers in a bid to drive incremental sales, which will be supported in-store by wobblers, header cards and merchandising.

Johnnie Walker will also interact with consumers though social network sites during this period, including via a promotion on Facebook that allows consumers to design a family crest.

“Johnnie Walker strives to generate quality drinking occasions for all whisky appreciators and Father’s Day is no exception,” said Diageo Australia’s marketing manager – Whisky, Nikki Burke.

“The Johnnie Walker Black Label premium tin packaging is the perfect gift for dads seeking sophistication, class and quality in their Scotch whisky.

"Retailers who invest in Father’s Day, which is an often-overlooked trading period, can benefit from increased sales, higher margins and increased traffic in-store.”

Johnnie Walker Black Label in the premium gift tin has an RRP of $41.99.
