Kegstar has announced two key appointments as it looks to accelerate its global expansion.

Joe Cook, the company's existing general manager, Australia and New Zealand has been appointed into the newly created role of general manager, innovation and business growth, and Judd Michel joins the business, moving into the Australia and New Zealand role.

Cook has been with Kegstar since its start-up phase and will be working closely with founder and managing director Adam Trippe-Smith to expand Kegstar around the world.

"I am extremely proud of what has been achieved by Kegstar in Australia and New Zealand," Cook said. "Especially with the success of our bespoke tracking solution Kegstar Tracks.

"I consider myself very lucky to be in this high passion, high growth industry and now to be working in this environment on a global level is a challenge I’m really looking forward to."

Michel comes to Kegstar with 18 years’ experience in the beer industry with SABMiller, Heineken, Drinkworks and Coca-Cola Amatil and will be leading the company's ANZ team through its next phase of growth.

Michel said: "I am really excited to be working with the amazing team at Kegstar in Australia and New Zealand. With the explosion of craft beer and cider over the past few years and the service that Kegstar provides, it’s a win-win situation for all involved and that is truly rare and exciting.

“Having worked with world-class beer and cider brands over the past 18 years, I hope to bring my own experiences and learning from a supplier / brewer side to ensure we continue to provide outstanding service to our customers, so they can continue to delight and surprise consumers.

“The Kegstar team has done a phenomenal job to date and the challenge for the team and myself is to continue to raise the bar and keep delivering quality service and results.”
