Beam Suntory has announced that Knob Creek Rye Bourbon has arrived on Australian shores, by popular demand from bartenders and bourbon aficionados.

As with the other Knob Creek whiskies, Knob Creek Rye is made in small batches, patiently aged in the deepest charred barrels and bottled at 100 per cent proof to maintain the distillery’s fondness for big flavour.

Kristy Rathborne – brand manager, Beam Suntory Australia said: "Premiumisation in spirits and the resurgence of whiskey is a global trend that can’t be ignored. Knob Creek is in a unique position where we can draw on an incredibly rich history of whiskey expertise and knowledge and apply it to what consumers want and are drinking today to create world-class, award-winning products."

Knob Creek Rye sits alongside the original Knob Creek 9yo Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve.

"This quality liquid is an exciting addition to the Australian rye whiskey category, which is experiencing 60 per cent volume growth in Australia attributed primarily to its versatility (Aztec MAT to April 2014)," Beam Suntory said.

Knob Creek Rye, RRP $87.99, will be available both on and off-premise outlets from September through Coca Cola Amatil.
