Fox Sports Venues is promoting a heavyweight day of fight events this Sunday, where world titles are on the line in both boxing and UFC.

First up on Sunday are the UFC 188 Prelim Bouts followed by boxing's WBC heavyweight world title fight between Deontay Wilder and Eric Molina. Both of these events are live on Fox Sports and are available to Fox Sports Venues subscribers at no extra charge as part of their subscription.

Following that is the pay-per-view UFC 188 event where the heavyweight world title is on the line between champ Cain Velasquez and challenger Fabricio Werdum. Venues wishing to screen this event need to call their provider – either Fox Sports Venues of Foxtel for Business. After the UFC, the Main Event channel will screen a replay of the Wilder v Molina bout. This is also free to view, meaning venues and residential subscribers won't have to pay for it.

Fox Sports' Sunday fight card

  • UFC 188 Prelim Bouts – from 10am on Fox Sports 2
  • Wilder v Molina WBC heavyweight world title fight – from 11am on Fox Sports 5
  • UFC 188 Velasquez v Werdum heavyweight world title fight – from 12pm on Main Event
  • Wilder v Molina replay – from 3pm on Main Event

Fox Sports' pay-per-view manager Japhy Duldig said the WBC world title fight will be compulsive viewing.

"Sunday will be the first time WBC heavyweight champion Wilder has defended his belt," Duldig said. "The American is unbeaten in 33 fights, with 32 wins by way of knockout. He has the power of George Foreman, the ferocity of Mike Tyson and the swagger of Muhammad Ali and will be a future boxing superstar." His opponent Molina is the former WBC latino cruiserweight and current WBC USNBC heavyweight champion and will be hungry for an upset win.

UFC 188 will be a hit with fans as it sees heavyweight fighters headline a PPV event for the first time since November last year. The one everyone will want to see is the main event between Velasquez and Werdum which will decide who is the true UFC heavyweight champion.
