Belgian cider company, Stassen, has signed a local distribution agreement with Kollaras Trading Company (KTC).

Stassen is the first cider to join the KTC portfolio as it looks to develop a presence in the growing Australian cider market.

Stassen managing director Philippe Stassen said he is pleased to be partnering with KTC as its Australian distributor.

"We are strengthening our international position in the category's premium market segment and Australia is part of our new stage of growth. KTC is a dynamic partner with a distribution footprint in the on and off-premise, and duty free markets," Stassen said.

KTC's group general manager, Michael Kollaras, said Stassen will make a welcome addition to the KTC portfolio.

"We are very excited about the addition of Stassen Ciders to our multi-beverage portfolio," he said.

"As a major importer of international beer from Europe, if you've enjoyed a Belgian beer, you are going to love Stassen's premium Belgian cider."

Established in 1895, the Stassen range has four flavours, including Apple, Pear, Elderflower and Lime and Red Fruits.
