Australian entries for the fifth annual 42 Below World Cup will close next Thursday.

To enter, participants are required to register their details, along with an original 42 Below cocktail recipe at the cocktail world cup website.

Thirty applicants will be selected to compete in one of three Australian heats to be held in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney next month. The two winners of each heat will represent Australia in a team of six at the final, to be held in Queenstown, New Zealand, beginning September 9.

The competition will see teams from around the world competing over five days in a series of extreme challenges, which in the past have included hanging from helicopters and bungee jumping.
