The Australian Whisky Awards has confirmed that this year’s ceremony is back, this time with a new virtual tasting and live stream presentation.
The event will take place on Thursday, March 16 at 7:30 pm AEDT and will be streamed live on the Australian Whisky Awards Facebook page.
Founder Niko Devlin told The Shout: “We are really excited to announce that the Australian Whisky Awards ceremony is back.
“Our team will be broadcasting from inside the Hickson House Distilling Co, where the excitement and anticipation for this year’s awards are already building.
“To make the event even more special, we have put together an Awards Tasting Kit that you can purchase and enjoy from the comfort of your own home.
“The tasting kit includes a selection of the finest AWAS exclusives and is sure to enhance your viewing experience.”
Each tasting kit includes:
- The AWA Pure Malt V3 – 20ml (an exclusive Awards event bottling blended from 14 Australian distilleries)
- AWAS Batch 4 – 30ml
- AWAS Batch 5 – 30ml
- AWAS Black Gate BG092 – 30ml
- AWAS Highwayman Red Wine Cask – 30ml
- AWAS Highwayman Tequila Cask – 50ml
