XXXX has paid tribute to the Queensland State of Origin team’s record-breaking fifth consecutive Origin series win by releasing a limited edition commemorative can.
XXXX Bitter has ditched its usual red and gold colours for the maroon shade worn by the Queensland Origin team and added an extra X to its logo in honour of the team’s historic achievement.
“As a proud sponsor of the Queensland State of Origin team, XXXX wanted to do something significant to celebrate this momentous sporting occasion and pay tribute to the Maroons players of today and yesterday,” said XXXX regional director, Bill Webb.
“The XXXX logo is a Queensland icon and the Xs in the XXXX brand have historically represented the quality of the beer. We thought, what better way to pay homage to one of Australia’s best sporting teams than elevate them to five-X status?”
XXXXX Bitter has been released in Queensland only in a limited run of 80,000 cases, which Maroons supporters are sure to snap up in a matter of weeks.
