Eight new retailers have joined Brisbane-based Liquor Legends in recent weeks, bringing the total number of members to 267.

The independent banner group has seen phenomenal growth since it launched into NSW and Victoria last year on a mission to offer liquor retailers in the southern states an edge against Coles- and Woolworths-branded chains.

Liquor Legends managing director, John Carmody, said the new members were taking full advantage of new eight-page catalogues that are driving sales for the group.

”We have seen enormous increases in sales and gross profit dollars since we introduced our new large format eight-page colour catalogues close to one year ago,” he said. “The increases have occurred because of their readability, value of the offers and focus on our point of difference.”

The new members comprise the Cape York Hotel of Cairns, the Exchange hotel of Jandowae West, the Golden Orange Hotel of Gayndah Central, the Mossman Hotel of Mossman, the Peninsula Pub of Mareeba North, the Stag Tavern of Babinda and Rosie’s Tavern and Pub Lovers of Brisbane.
