What has contributed to such success? Managing Director John Carmody explores this below.
Q – How has Liquor Legends been faring in 2021 so far?
John Carmody: Liquor Legends is extremely proud to show continued growth month-on-month into the first quarter of 2021. Considering we are lapping such huge growth during 2020, continuing to grow is a massive feat. If we look at our performance in the first quarter of 2021 compared to 2020, we are 27 per cent up.
We are projecting that our strong performance will continue through this year where we believe we will exceed last year’s numbers month on month.
Q – What is the focus at Liquor Legends at the moment?
JC: Getting our digital marketing and e-commerce firing the same way our in-store trade is. We are still relatively new to this space and have made incredible progress here, yet we have a lot left untapped.
We are excited to continue to change the way we trade as a business and refresh our strategy ongoing to fit to our consumers needs and deliver the best in class service we are known for in an omnichannel arena.
Q – Tell us about the development of your e-commerce offering.
JC: At Liquor Legends, we have always offered an extremely integrated system for our retailers and a personalised shopping experience for our customers, so the website had to reflect that. With an independent model, offering a hyper personalised experience with so much variability was difficult. But we are extremely proud to have developed a website which loads in seconds and offers a truly Legendary experience.
E-commerce purchasing behaviour increased by almost 70 per cent in 2020, and our ability to satisfy our customers in an omnichannel approach is an extremely important part of our plans to solidify a stable trading environment for our Members and Supplier partners! Our goal for e-commerce at this stage, is to continue to fine tune the user experience of our platform, to secure continued growth across the upcoming financial year.
