By Amy Looker on the Gold Coast

Retailers at the Australian Liquor Stores Association (ALSA) conference on the Gold Coast have been encouraged to undertake far greater staff training development programs within their businesses.

AusTrain and Retail Liquor Development Foundation (RLDF) consultant, Peter Hall, told TheShout that more importance needed to be placed on staff training, with one of the biggest issues facing retail liquor store owner/operators is a lack of investment in staff training.

RLDF held two training sessions while at the conference, to better equip delegates to undertake best practice liquor retailing through a series of case studies.

In coming months, National Liquor News will be publishing an in-depth feature on staff training to educate liquor retailers on the wealth of options availalble to them through programs such as RLDF.
