Released this week, Little Creatures' latest single batch beer is a mash up of Belgian and American flavours and brewing styles, the brewer says.

Coming in at 7.2 per cent ABV, The Quiet American is a hybrid of Belgian Strong Ale – "think esters, spice… fruity, zesty" – converging with a "big and loud" American India Pale Ale (IPA), according to Little Creatures.

Influenced by the "quiet talents" of the Trappist monk brewers, Little Creatures said the beer also celebrates the US IPAs through the use of new season Cascade and Chinook American hops.

"It presents with an orange hue, a nice tight white foam and a lively carbonation," the brewer said.

Little Creatures' single batch concept was developed by the brewer to give selected accounts a point of difference for their customers.

Ross Sudano, CEO of parent company Little World Beverages, recently told TheShout the last single batch beer, Big Dipper Double IPA, had been very well received by consumers and trade alike.
